Michael Folorunsho joins Cagliari on loan from Napoli

Cagliari have officially completed the signing of Michael Folorunsho on loan from Napoli, with the deal including an €8 million option to buy.

The move, comes as no surprise, having been anticipated since early July. Folorunsho, 27, spent the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina, where he impressed with a string of dynamic performances in midfield.

Napoli were open to allowing the Italy international to leave in search of regular playing time, and Cagliari—looking to strengthen their squad—acted swiftly to secure his services.

The deal marks another significant step in Cagliari's summer recruitment drive, as the Sardinian side aim to build on their Serie A survival last season.
