After disappointing spells with Barcelona and Argentina, Martino has completely rebuilt his career since going to MLS outfit Atlanta United in 2016.

The 55-year-old has turned the east coast side into one of the most exciting in the Americas but recently refused to deny reports that he could leave at the end of the season.

And those reports have been strengthened by ESPN, who on Wednesday have revealed that the Mexican Football Federation have been in touch with the idea of making him coach of El Tri.

Their story indicates that the FMF will offer Martino a four-year deal that would see him be in charge for the next World Cup cycle.
