Mexico names full 22-man squad for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics

With the Olympics around the corner, the Mexican National Team has released their official 22-man squad travelling to Tokyo.

Looking within the selection, Liga MX clubs Chivas and Club América lead the way in terms of representation with four players each.

From Chivas, these include midfielders Fernando Beltrán and Jesús Angulo as well as forwards Alexis Vega and Uriel Antuna.

For América, these include goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, defender Jorge Sanchez, midfielder Sebastian Cordova and forward Henry Martin.

According to a statement, the players are set to travel to Japan “in the next few days.”

Mexico kick-off their Olympic opener against France on 22 July.
