The United States were left out of the competition after being eliminated embarrassingly by Trinidad and Tobago in their final World Cup qualifying match.

However, America’s elimination allows the country’s residents a chance to appreciate the rest of the world.

According to a map released by Soccer.com, Mexico is the site’s top-selling soccer jersey amongst teams that qualified for the World Cup in 23 of the 50 states.

Predictably, most of the states are located in the Southeast part of the country, a popular spot for Mexican people to migrate.

It’s pretty easy to guess that France is the most popular jersey in Louisiana and Brazil has sold the most jerseys in Florida. However, it’s pretty difficult to explain some of the sales numbers in some states. Argentina has sold the most jerseys in Idaho and Mississippi, while Egypt (Mohamed Salah) kits are popular in South Carolina.

Germany is the next-top selling jersey after Mexico, topping the leaderboard in seven states.
