Metz wonderkid Pape Sarr is being watched by Premier League clubs.
L'Equipe says Newcastle, Everton and Chelsea are keeping tabs on Sarr.
The 18-year-old has made 20 appearances this term, scoring three times from defensive midfield, and French side Nice are also preparing an offer for the Senegalese star - according to the report.
Newcastle are interested in Sarr's Metz team-mate Boubakar Kouyate.
The Mali international centre-back only joined Metz in the summer but has impressed this term, courting interest from Norwich, Southampton, Roma and Atalanta.
However, Metz manager Frederic Antonetti has warned the pair won't be available on the cheap.
“I am the one who sets the prices," he said.
"And the sums required will be very, very high.
"Our workforce has great potential and we are not salespeople.
"Everyone knows me and knows that I will be uncompromising with regard to the work done by the whole club to advance the players."
