FC Metz brought in three strikers in order to compensate for the departure of Georges Mikautadze last summer. The Georgian striker has since returned from Ajax on a loan deal, whilst none of his replacements, Osca Estupiñan, Simon Elisor and Benjamin Tetteh succeeded in filling the void. A new striker is set to be added to Metz’s attacking arsenal, the cousin of Manchester City forward Erling Haaland, Jonatan Braut Brunes (23), according to L’Équipe.
Estupiñan has moved to Bahia this month, whilst Elisor joined Ligue 2 strugglers ESTAC Troyes on loan. Tetten, who has struggled to lead the line for Metz this season, is now also set to leave the club. He is on the verge of being loaned to OH Leuven until the end of the season.
Brunes could move the other way, according to L’Équipe. The Norweigan forward has three goals and two assists in 18 appearances this season.
