Arsenal midfielder Mesut Özil has reportedly rejected a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The 30-year-old is out of favour under Arsenal boss Unai Emery but is not looking to leave the Emirates Stadium.

According to reliable German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung, PSG approached the German after talisman Neymar suffered an injury.

The report goes on to say Özil rejected a move as he does not want to go out on loan.

Neymar has suffered a broken metatarsal and is expected to miss around 10 weeks, PSG confirmed on Wednesday. That rules him out of their Champions League games against Manchester United in the round of 16.

Özil has also been linked with a move to Inter this €350k-a-week salary has put off potential suitors.

The midfielder played 76 minutes for Arsenal in their 2-1 defeat of Cardiff on Tuesday but it was his first start in a month.
