Messi’s name featured in a list of 20 players named by the club for the game, suggesting he will at least be on the bench at the Parc des Princes. The Argentina World Cup winner did not train on Thursday, leading to speculation he could miss the visit of the Brittany side to the capital.
PSG do have major fitness issues elsewhere, particularly in defence. Presnel Kimpembe, Nordi Mukiele, Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi and Sergio Ramos are all sidelined, and it has emerged that Warren Zaïre-Emery could start the game in the middle of a back three for Christophe Galtier’s side.
Neymar Jr. is also out until the end of the season as he recovers from an ankle injury. PSG go into the match sitting nine points clear of second-placed RC Lens, who beat Angers SCO 3-0 on Saturday.
