Meritan Shabani signs professional contract with Bayern Munich | OneFootball

Meritan Shabani will remain with Bayern through the 2019-2020 season after making his Bundesliga debut last month against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Shabani has been in the Bayern system for 12 years and is just the latest homegrown player to pass through the Bayern Munich system.

The offensive midfielder has scored eight goals and provided five assists in 20 appearances for Bayern’s U19 team this season.

“FC Bayern are my club. I’m incredibly happy to have this chance. I want to keep on working and learning in the coming years.”

Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic also took the time to sing Shabani’s praises, “Meritan is a highly talented and promising player who has been through all our youth teams. We’re happy to have him at the club over the long term. He has already shown his potential on the training ground and in the league game against Frankfurt.”
