Sky Germany reports that Hoffenheim striker Mergim Berisha has no future at the club and can leave this month amid interest from Bundesliga clubs.
Since joining from Augsburg in 2023, Berisha has had a very underwhelming time in Sinsheim. Injuries have not helped, but his form has also not given any hope. On top of this, before his sacking, Berisha is said to have had a falling out with then head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo and despite Christian Ilzer coming in, nothing has changed.
The once-German international can now leave the club this winter as he has not future at the PreZero Arena. Negotiations with interested clubs are on going with Werder Bremen having enquired about the 26-year-old.
Hoffenheim already have a large amount of strikers at their disposal with Gift Orban arriving from Lyon, Erencan Yardimci being recalled from his loan at Sturm Graz adding to the list of Andrej Kramaric, Adam Hlozek, Max Moerstadt and Haris Tabakovic who can all play up front for Hoffenheim.
This means that there is very little need for Berisha anymore who has played 17 times this season, scoring once and assisting once.
