Simon Banza could be on his way to the United Arab Emirates, with Al-Jazira tracking the Congolese striker. An agreement has even been reached between the Emirati club and SC Braga.

Having arrived in Portugal in 2022, the DR Congo international (14 caps, 2 goals) has shone with 37 goals and 15 assists in 90 matches over two seasons.

However, that wasn’t enough for him to secure a spot for the 2024-2025 campaign, which he spent on loan at Trabzonspor. In Turkey, he found the net 22 times and contributed 7 assists in 37 appearances.

These performances haven’t gone unnoticed by Al-Jazira’s scouts, who have put €10 million on the table to persuade the Portuguese club to let him go.

Bought for €5 million from Lens, the 28-year-old’s transfer fee would thus be doubled, making it a great deal for Braga.

However, both sides are still waiting for the approval of the Creil-born forward, who would prefer to remain in Europe. Should he move to the Middle East, he would replace compatriot Neeskens Kebano, who just left last month.
