Now a free agent after the end of his contract with FC St. Gallen, Chadrac Akolo is struggling to find a new club.

At 30, the Congolese winger is coming off a strong season in Switzerland. He notched 8 goals and delivered 7 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions. However, these solid performances have not been enough to secure a new contract.

The Kinshasa native remains attentive to the market, but according to those close to him, offers are few and far between. Even Turkish club Gençlerbirliği SK, which had shown interest at the start of the transfer window, now appears to be shifting its focus elsewhere.

For now, the Congolese international (27 caps, 2 goals) finds himself at a standstill with no option but to wait. His representatives may need to step up their efforts and present his profile to more clubs.

The Leopard began his professional career with FC Sion in 2016. He has since played for several German and French clubs, including VfB Stuttgart, Amiens SC, and SC Paderborn, before returning to Switzerland.
