Netherlands forward Memphis Depay will miss the upcoming Nations League semi-final clash against Croatia due to injury. The 29-year-old suffered a hamstring injury at the end of March in an international match against Gibraltar. He has since played once for his club, Atlético Madrid.

Memphis Depay is currently the Netherlands’ top scorer with 44 goals in 88 appearances. The former PSV, Barcelona and Manchester United man was due to report to the national team training camp on Monday, but his hamstring injury has held him back. National team coach Ronald Koeman is set to train with the majority of the squad this week, ahead of the Nations League semi-final against Croatia next Wednesday (14th of June).

Spain and Italy will play each other on the 15th of June in the other Nations League semi-final. If the Netherlands reach the final of the competition, Depay will likely be absent for that clash too.
