Although this tournament has been far from being América’s best, they have managed to cope to the extent that the club remains at the top of the table fighting to qualify for the Liguilla.
Those who have stood out have been attackers such as Federico Viñas, Sebastián Córdova, and Henry Martín, they are not the only ones doing their job in a great way.
Guillermo Ochoa is also proving to be at his best level in the current tournament, which can be seen not only in the quality of his saves but in the numbers as well.
At the moment, throughout the 2019-20 season, Ochoa has registered 4.2 saves per game, a large number that coincides with his 2016-17 season, where he became the goalkeeper with the most saves in a tournament in the history of LaLiga with Granada.
Of course, while these are great numbers for Ochoa, this means that the América defence have been far from their best.
