Lyon have announced the arrival of Reims star midfielder Melchie Dumornay. After signing a 3-year contract with the club, she talked to OL’s official channel about signing, stating, “It has always been my dream to wear the Olympique Lyon shirt. I know that this club can allow me to progress and win trophies. I can’t wait to play here and evolve alongside Wendie Renard. She is a role model for many young players and I hope to be like her one day.”

This is not Dumornay’s first time in Lyon. She almost signed with her dream club in 2018. She spoke about her memory of the tryout explaining, “the first time that I met the players, who were there at the time… I could see in training that there was not a big difference between us. It was very important for me to know if my level was where it needed to be.”
