Germany international midfielder Melanie Leupolz has left Chelsea after over four years with the Blues and signed for Real Madrid.

Leupolz chalked up 44 appearances for Chelsea, whom she joined in March 2020 following a 99-game spell at Bayern Munich.

She won four WSL titles with Chelsea and twice helped lift the Frauen Bundesliga trophy.

The 30-year-old was part of the Germany squad at the 2023 World Cup, retiring from international football after the tournament and finishing on 79 caps.
