In a significant development, Raja Club Athletic has successfully finalized the contractual details with midfielder Mehdi Berrahma, securing his commitment to the Casablanca-based club.

The player has agreed to both the duration and financial terms of his new contract, with the official signing pending the successful completion of a mandatory medical examination.

This breakthrough concludes a transfer saga that had previously grown increasingly complex due to a bidding war. Raja’s offer of a two-year deal worth €200,000 per season ultimately prevailed, despite a late competing proposal from Bahraini side Al Khalidiya.

The negotiations, however, faced an unexpected hurdle when the player's agent submitted a counter-proposal demanding a signing bonus of no less than $350,000 per season, introducing a new layer of complexity to the discussions.
