Bernardo Silva is said to have a release clause of around €59 million in his contract with Manchester City this summer. An interesting price, also for FC Bayern.

Bernardo Silva is still tied to Manchester City until 2026, but according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, he will be allowed to leave the club this summer for around €59 million. The English Daily Star recently reported that FC Bayern are one of the many clubs interested in signing Bernardo Silva.

In addition to the German record champions, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and FC Arsenal are also said to be keeping an eye on the creative player’s situation.

According to the Spanish portal fichajes.net, Bayern see Bernardo Silva as an ideal addition to the existing attacking department centred around Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sané and Serge Gnabry. According to the portal, „his technical skills and visionwould be a perfect fit for Bayern.“

That speaks against a move to FC Bayern

It would not be very surprising if FC Bayern were to keep a close eye on players like Bernardo Silva. After all, the Portuguese international has been a key player at Manchester City for many years and has won five English championships and the Champions League under his coach Pep Guardiola. With a reported transfer fee of 59 million euros, those in charge at Säbener Straße are likely to have second thoughts.

However, it is also clear that the Sky Blues are unlikely to let their midfield star go without a fight and with such renowned competition, signing the 29-year-old is by no means a foregone conclusion.

Another sticking point is Silva’s likely enormous salary demands. Munich have recently endeavoured to put less astronomical sums on their pay slips .
