West Ham are hoping to complete the signing of Mads Hermansen today with the medical underway in London.

The top goalkeeper target for Graham Potter this summer is set to seal his move to West Ham in an £18m transfer, which is regarded as a serious coup for the club, as Hermansen looks set to be the clubs new number one goalkeeper.

Despite much speculation that the club were instead going to move for Brazilian goalkeeper John Victor instead, it appears that ‘deal’ was used as leverage in getting a better deal agreed with Leicester City, to land the player that the club ultimately wanted.

West Ham’s ruthless approach has raised eyebrows and arguably did lack a level of class, however it cannot be argued that the plan was effective, with Potter now landing another one of his top targets in such a crucial transfer window.

The club now turn attentions to the midfield, with it understood that both Jacob Ramsey and Mateus Fernandes are both top of the list of the two targets we are looking to get done ahead of the Premier League season kick off in just over a weeks’ time.
