Mediaset: Milan pushing for €40m-rated Botman – a crucial factor and the alternative | OneFootball

AC Milan are persisting with their attempts to land Sven Botman and it could hinge on one key factor, according to a report.

SportMediaset (via MilanNews) gave the latest updates on Milan’s mercato plans this afternoon and spoke about Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara’s hunt for a new central defender, in addition to revealing that the Rossoneri and their city rivals Inter have enquired about a Juventus winger.

Milan want to make a signing for the defence that is not a simple stopgap and the dream is still Sven Botman, but Lille’s requests are €40m. The Ligue 1 champions progressed into the knockout stages of the Champions League where they will face Chelsea, and they have already lost Jonathan Ikone.

If they were to lose Botman then they would then need to replace the Dutchman, which becomes a matter of timing. The alternative is Abdou Diallo of PSG if the Parisians open to a loan in the next few days
