Rangers clashed heads with Liverpool at Anfield earlier tonight as they looked to cause an upset on the road in the UEFA Champions League. The Glaswegian giants made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the seventh minute when Trent Alexander-Arnold scored with a brilliant freekick. However, Rangers recovered well and managed to get into the half-time interval just 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Leon King conceded a cheap penalty early in the second half which Mohamed Salah scored to put Liverpool 2-0 up in the 53rd minute. The Scottish outfit grew in confidence in the latter stages of the game but failed to find the back of the net. The contest finished with Rangers suffering a lackluster 2-0 defeat away at Merseyside.
