“They’re going to spend a lot of money and bring in top players.

“But Brendan [Rodgers] will be saying to Maddison that there’s quality players at Leicester and they can go on a run again and see if they can get back up the table and challenge for European spots.

“It’s going to be interesting because there’s so many teams who will want to be challenging for European spots. Leicester is one of those teams that is going to want to be up there and fighting.“

The English sensation proved his worth in the opposition half by averaging 2.1 shots, 1.4 key passes and 0.9 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He was even careful when interchanging possession with his teammates, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 80.7% in the English first division (stats via whoscored).

Is Maddison A Good Option For Newcastle United Boss Eddie Howe?

Maddison can strike the ball with power and precision from long range and can chip in by scoring a handful of important goals for his team. He has got the eye to play a killer pass in the attacking end of the field and is a decent dribbler as well.

A playmaker of Maddison’s quality would be a massive coup for the Magpies as he will strengthen Eddie Howe‘s attacking options considerably for the new campaign.

At 25, the English attacker’s best years are ahead of him which makes him a brilliant option for Newcastle to pursue during this summer transfer window.
