Captain Kylian Mbappé set PSG on their way to eking out a 2-0 away to Le Havre after playing almost the entire game with 10 men following their goalkeeper’s early dismissal.
Scorers: Mbappé 23′, Vitinha 89′
The visitors’ afternoon got off to the worst possible start when Gianluigi Donnarumma was shown a red card with just 10 minutes on the clock for a reckless karate-esque kick outside his area when he delayed far too long in dealing with a loose ball.
Undeterred by the man disadvantage, the Parisiens soon struck for the opener midway through the half when Ousmane Dembélé picked out Mbappé lurking with intent on the edge of the area and he swept a low effort in via the foot of the post.
PSG had to live on their nerves for much of the remainder of the game before finally putting it beyond doubt by adding a last minute second through Vitinha’s deflected strike, to see Luis Enrique’s men move four points clear of Nice at the Ligue 1 summit.
