Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe is now the holder of another notable UEFA Champions League record.

Mbappe came into PSG’s Champions League home group stage clash against Club Brugge with 28 career goals scored in this competition. The forward wound up reaching the 30 goals figure in Champions League play following an early double in the contest.

Now, Mbappe (22 years and 352 days) is the youngest player ever to reach 30 career goals scored in the Champions League, surpassing PSG teammate Lionel Messi (23 years and 131 days) at the top of this leaderboard.

This is feat from Mbappe is far from a surprise, especially as the French forward has been among the competition’s top goal-scorers over the past couple of seasons. Overall, it sure is impressive for the forward to break this notable record of Messi’s, which the Argentine set during his early run with Barcelona.

As it stands, Mbappe has now tallied for four goals in Champions League play so far this season.
