PSG cruised against strugglers Metz to win their fourth in game in five and move seven points clear in Ligue 1.

Scorers: Vitinha 49′, Mbappé 60′, 83′ ; Udol 72′

The Parisians probed in the opening 45 minutes, looking to find and opening in the Metz rearguard, but the visitors proved to be more stubborn than expected.

It took until after the restart for Luis Enrique’s side to find their breakthrough, and they did so through Vitinha, who fired the hosts into the lead inside five minutes of the second-half.

His effort was followed up by a Kylian Mbappé strike on the hour mark, seeing the Frenchman find the back of his net on his birthday, and more importantly extend his side’s lead.

While it appeared the home side would kill off the game, Metz pulled one back through Matthieu Udol to make the Paris crowd sweat.

Any sort of comeback would not manifest however, as Mbappé found his second and PSG’s third on the break in the final 10 minutes to wrap up the victory for the home side.

But Kylian wouldn’t be the only one from the Mbappé family celebrating the night as his younger brother Ethan made his debut at the age of 16.
