Mazzola turns 81: “Inter, a never-ending passion” | OneFootball

MILANO - Sandro Mazzola celebrates his 81st birthday today. His story, his talent and what he represented for Inter have made him a Nerazzurro great. 565 appearances and 158 goals. His first goal came at 18 years old against Juventus and there were many gems to follow, amongst which definitely his unforgettable brace in the final of the European Cup against Real Madrid in 1964. That match was played in Austria, in fact, where Simone Inzaghi's team face Salzburg tonight. Mazzola remembers that match with a particular fondness.

The former Nerazzurro midfielder recalls some key moments from his incredible Inter career.

He played for the Nerazzurri for 17 seasons, winning 2 European Cups, 2 Intercontinental Cups and 4 Scudettos.
