Cagliari have sacked coach Leonardo Semplici.
The coach's contract was terminated on Tuesday after three games into the season.

"Cagliari Calcio announce that they have relieved Leonardo Semplici from his post as coach of the first team," the club wrote in a statement.
“At the same time, assistant coach Andrea Consumi, the athletic trainer Yuri Fabbrizzi and technical collaborators Rossano Casoni and Alessio Rubicini were sacked."
Former Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri is regarded as favourite for the job.
