Max Kruse has revealed he turned down a move to Liverpool earlier this summer before joining Fenerbahçe.
The Germany international was available on a free transfer after leaving Werder Bremen in June, and had been linked with a move to Anfield.
But Kruse insists he has no regrets about opting to join the Turkish giants.
“During the transfer period, I received lots of offers and one of them was Liverpool,” he told BEIN Sports.
“But I decided to join Fenerbahçe because I believe I will be very happy there.
“I spoke with a lot of players during that period and I am happy about my decision.”
Liverpool have only made one signing this summer, 17-year-old Sepp van den Berg from PEC Zwolle.
