Mauro is the older brother of former América player Diego Lainez who currently plays in La Liga for Real Betis.

After putting his name to paper, the new number 28 said the move is a “dream come true.”

“Thank you, my God, for the opportunity, a dream come true,” said Mauro Lainez.

“You have to be up to the task and give your all for these colors.”
