Mauro Icardi is still reportedly refusing to train at Inter citing inflammation in his knee.

Icardi hasn’t trained with the Nerazzurri since he was stripped of the captaincy on February 13.

The striker has informed the club’s medical department of a pain in his right knee, however the doctors have insisted that despite tests, there is no obvious injury.

That hasn’t stopped the goalscorer pulling out of recent squads though, with Icardi now declaring himself unfit for their Europa League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday.

Sky Sports Italia have confirmed that the Argentine hit-man informed Luciano Spalletti he would not be training on Monday and Tuesday this week and will instead do physiotherapy work by himself.

Inter have won one, drawn one and lost the other of their three Serie A games since their decision to take the armband off Icardi.
