Mauro Icardi will start for Inter against Genoa on Wednesday, Luciano Spalletti has confirmed.
The Argentine hasn’t featured for the club since he was stripped of the captaincy on 13 February.
Icardi returned to training last week but Spalletti left him out of the squad to face Lazio at the weekend.
Now, though, the striker will be back in action.
“Icardi is in my matchday squad,” Spalletti told journalists on Tuesday.
“There is your headline.”
The Inter boss then spoke about the impact of chief executive Giuseppe Marotta, praising his handling of the situation.
“We wanted to come to a stage where we actually sat down and spoke to one another.
“That conversation has now allowed us to have Icardi in a position where he can contribute to the team.”
