With an assist from Gustagol, Mauro Boselli found the back of the net for the first time in a Corinthians shirt on Sunday to help his side defeat Botafogo-SP 1-0.

Though the Argentine took the opportunity to make it clear that he is not happy with the few opportunities he has had with Timão, he ruled out any dissatisfaction with coaches or team-mates.

“If you ask any player who does not play, he’s obviously he’s not happy,” Boselli told UOL.

“My problem is to be happy on the outside.

“It’s one thing to be sad, but it is another is not to support my comrades. I’m here to play.

“Corinthians do not pay me to start, they pay me to be amongst the attackers and to play when the coach wants me to play.”

He also praised Gustagol, who has scored eight goals to start the season.

Boselli said his team-mate is one of the players who he has a great relationship with.

Corinthians are in Argentina to face Racing Club in the first round of the Copa Sudamericana.

The two teams are level at one goal apiece after the first leg.
