Maurizio Sarri is reportedly ‘happy to be sacked’ by Chelsea after becoming frustrated with life in west London.
Sarri was hired by the Blues last summer to replace Antonio Conte with a remit to change the club’s style of play.
After a brilliant start at Stamford Bridge things have turned sour for the Italian to the point where he is not willing to take his severance pay and leave after just 12 months.
That’s according to journalist Duncan Castles who claims that the former Napoli man is angling for a move back to Italy come the end of the campaign.
Telling his Transfer Window Podcast, Castles claimed: “I have been informed by a couple of sources that Sarri is not against being sacked by Chelsea.
“He’s not enjoying his time in London, he’s not enjoying working at the club, he finds the distance between himself and the ownership immense and feels he has no proper say in the transfer market.
“What I’m told by more than one person is he will not resist if Chelsea decide to dismiss him and would quite happily accept his severance cheque and then take one of the bigger jobs in Serie A and return to his home country.”
