The future of Manchester United target Matthijs de Ligt at Bayern Munich remains ‘up in the air’ at this stage of the transfer window.
Manchester United have agreed personal terms on a contract with the Dutchman who wants the move to Old Trafford.
However, the Red Devils signed Leny Yoro from Lille for €62m and their first bid for the Dutchman was rejected by the German giants.
Manchester United do not want to pay the €50m the Bavarians want and Bayern Munich are under internal pressure to stick to their asking price.
According to German magazine Kicker (via Fussball Transfers), the defender’s future at Bayern Munich remains ‘up in the air’ at the moment.
Bayern Munich want Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen but they need to sell De Ligt first.
Erik ten Hag wants the Dutchman at Old Trafford but his arrival is tied to Manchester United selling a centre-back.
For now, it seems the future of De Ligt will only be sorted out later in the window following a few movements in the market.
