The end of the long-running Matthijs de Ligt transfer saga finally appears to be in sight.
It appears that after months of speculation, the Ajax captain has made a decision on his future.
And it is good news for Paris Saint-Germain and disappointment for Barcelona, if the latest reports are correct.
Cadena Ser claim that De Ligt has turned down the opportunity to move to the Camp Nou in favour of the French capital.
The Netherlands international is currently on holiday in Florida enjoying some down-time after a gruelling season.
But that hasn’t stopped him remaining in contact with his representatives and mulling over his future by the beach.
Despite Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu flying to Amsterdam in a bid to court the player and Frenkie de Jong doing his best to convince De Ligt, he has decided against a move to Spain.
Juventus, Manchester United and Bayern Munich were also all credited with interest in the teenager.
Although a deal has not yet been agreed with Ajax, it seems that a switch to the Parc des Princes is drawing ever closer.
