Matteo Darmian could make his first appearance in an Inter shirt in tomorrow’s Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was broadcast earlier on today.

The 36 time Italian national team representative joined Inter at the end of the Summer transfer window and due to the international break he has been made to wait that bit longer to make his first appearance for his new employers.

Inter have a depleted defence due to COVID-19 and whilst Stefan de Vrij, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Aleksandar Kolarov are likely to be selected to start, Sport Mediaset claim that Darmian may have a chance to play for the first time.

The report from the broadcaster goes on to explain that the only big selection doubt that Inter manager Antonio Conte has is whether to field Marcelo Brozovic or Christian Eriksen alongside Nicolo Barella and Arturo Vidal in the midfield
