Hummels has missed the first three games of the season with a patellar tendon issue and is showing optimism over his recovery.

“I haven’t trained for a very long time now. Right now, everything is working well. Every step we take is working. I’ve now also joined parts of team training.”

Thorgan Hazard, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Soumaila Coulibaly, Nnamdi Collins, and Mateu Morey will continue to miss time due to injury.

Meanwhile, the availability of Thomas Meunier, Julian Brandt, Emre Can, and Raphael Guerreiro remains in question.
