Argentine goalkeeper Matías Dituro has confirmed on social media that he will not be a Celta Vigo player next season.
Dituro, who joined Celta on loan from Chilean club Universidad Católica, was informed this week that the Galician club would not exercise the option to make the transfer permanent.
The Argentine expressed his gratitude to the Celta faithful on social media:
“Today was my last game. It was an honour to wear the Celta shirt this season. I thank the club for the opportunity and my teammates for the love they gave me. Thank you to the coaching staff, the fans, kit men, doctors, nutritionists and all the employees of the club. Thank you very much for everything and I wish them all the best next season.”
Dituro has been the only player to play every single minute of every game in the league this season for Celta, keeping 14 clean sheets along the way. He has also garnered the reputation of being a master at saving penalties, saving four this campaign, more than any other keeper.
