Walking

The Citylink walking route connects Manchester Piccadilly Station to the Etihad Stadium, through the bustling areas of Ancoats, New Islington, and Holt Town.

The designated walking route is designed to create a vibrant pre-match experience with interactive lighting installations, live music from local talent, face painters, and playmakers with selfies frames and QR codes to encourage fans to take selfies and submit on Cityzens platform for the monthly and end of season ‘Walk to the Match’ selfie competitions.

The competitions, which will commence this weekend at the Tottenham Hotspur fixture and run until the end of the season, are open to all Cityzens and each entry will be considered for a prize. Prize draws for a player signed shirt will take place monthly along as well as a grand prize draw at the end of the season.

More information on competitions and how to enter coming soon.

Cycling – Love To Ride

For fans wishing to cycle there are over 300 bike storage spaces across the Etihad Campus. The largest storage facility is underneath the Nexen Tyre Bridge near Ashton New Road and on Joe Mercer Way and there are additional storage facilities outside of the East and West Stands and around the wider Etihad Campus.

Security guards are located at the storage facilities so that fans can leave their bikes with confidence and bicycle helmets can be brought into the stadium subject to security searches and kept in a small bag under your seat.

Across Manchester city centre, Trafford and Salford, the Starling Bank Bikes provide fans with a cheap, convenient and quick option for travelling to the stadium, with several docking stations across the Etihad Campus, more information about these and the bikes can be found here.

Last season the Club collaborated with Love To Ride encouraging fans to cycle to matches to be in with the chance of winning some great prizes and we are pleased to announce these competitions will continue in the 2025/26 Season.

Register on the Manchester City Love To Ride website and log your bike rides to home matches in the Love To Ride app to climb the leaderboard and be in with the chance of winning an exciting prize.

You can find out more information about Love To Ride and where to download the app here.
