Matchday Live to return in 2024/25 season | OneFootball

Our popular City-centric show, Matchday Live, will be back on your screens in 2024/25!

Starting with the upcoming tour of the United States, we'll be there live and free for every single men's match of the season to come.

Available on mancity.com and our official app, the show will also be broadcast for selected women's games.

Hosted from our state of the art studio at the City Football Academy and with presenters and pundits on location at the match, we'll bring you everything you need to know on a matchday.

What is Matchday Live?

Starting approximately an hour before kick-off, Matchday Live will be the first place to get team news and reaction from special guests.

After that, we'll preview the action to come and play some City games to get you in the mood for the match.

We'll also have reporters at the ground, sampling the atmosphere for you as it builds.

Once the match kicks off, we'll have radio commentary from the likes of Alistair Mann to talk you through every single kick.

At half-time and full-time, we go back to the studio to review what has happened and explain what it means.

Who are the guests?

Alongside our presenters on Matchday Live, we'll have some City favourites past and present in the studio to give an expert eye on proceedings.

They'll give us an inside scoop on the Club in the modern day and in times gone by and share some insights as to how the action has played out through the eye of a professional.

Last season's regular guests included Steph Houghton, Joleon Lescott, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Nedum Onuoha, Richard Dunne and many others.

On top of that, we also welcome in guests who may have links to our opponents, memories of coming up against City or just with interesting stories from a life in football.

2023/24 saw the likes of Neil Warnock and former England men Ledley King, Paul Robinson and Emile Heskey join us.

Guests for each match will be announced on mancity.com and our official app a few days beforehand.

How can I watch Matchday Live?

Matchday Live is free for everyone and available on mancity.com and our official Man City app.

Simply head to the website or app on a matchday and select the Matchday Centre, which will also be running free text commentary throughout the day.

Matchday Live will then start playing at the top of the page, with all the key information and text commentary available to follow beneath it.
