The title

Bayern Munich finally got over the line last week, boasting an eight-point lead over Bayer Leverkusen with two games to go to claim the Meisterschale for the 33rd time in the Bundesliga era.

UEFA Champions League qualification

The Bundesliga's top four finishers are all guaranteed Champions League football next season.

Bayern secured their spot on Matchday 27, with Leverkusen following suit on Matchday 29.

Eintracht Frankfurt will secure at least fourth place if:

  • They win at home to St. Pauli
  • They draw AND Freiburg fail to beat Kiel or Dortmund fail to beat Leverkusen
  • Two of the following three scenarios happen: Freiburg lose in Kiel Dortmund fail to win in Leverkusen Leipzig fail to win in Bremen

Freiburg will secure at least fourth place if:

  1. They win in Kiel and Dortmund lose and Leipzig fail to win

UEFA Europa League

Only the fifth-placed side in the Bundesliga has a guaranteed spot in the Europa League's league phase.

That spot will drop down to sixth should VfB Stuttgart win the DFB Cup and finish in the top six.

Frankfurt will secure at least fifth place if:

  • They draw against St. Pauli
  • Freiburg lose in Kiel
  • Dortmund or Leipzig fail to win

Freiburg will secure at least fifth place if:

  1. They win in Kiel and either Dortmund lose or Leipzig fail to win

Borussia Dortmund will secure at least fifth place if:

  1. They win in Leverkusen and Leipzig lose and Mainz also fail to win in Bochum

UEFA Conference League play-offs

The team that finishes sixth qualifies for the Conference League play-offs.

This will go to seventh if Stuttgart win the DFB Cup and finish in the top six.

Freiburg will secure at least sixth place if:

  • They win in Kiel
  • They draw and both Mainz and Bremen fail to win
  • Mainz lose and Bremen fail to win

Dortmund will secure at least sixth place if:

  • They win in Leverkusen and either Leipzig lose or Mainz fail to win
  • They draw and Mainz lose and Bremen fail to win

RB Leipzig will secure at least sixth place if:

  1. They win in Bremen and Mainz fail to win in Bochum

Top-flight safety

All sides down to and including 13th place are mathematically safe.

St. Pauli will be safe if:

  • They win in Frankfurt
  • They draw and Heidenheim fail to beat Union
  • Heidenheim and Kiel both drop points

Hoffenheim will be safe if:

  • They win at Wolfsburg
  • They draw and Heidenheim fail to beat Union
  • Heidenheim and Kiel both drop points

Relegation play-off

Whoever finishes 16th in the Bundesliga will contest the relegation play-off against the third-placed team in Bundesliga 2.

St. Pauli will finish no lower than 16th if:

  • They avoid defeat in Frankfurt
  • Heidenheim and Kiel both drop points

Hoffenheim will finish no lower than 16th if:

  • They avoid defeat at Hoffenheim
  • Heidenheim and Kiel both drop points

Heidenheim will finish no lower than 16th if:

  1. They win at Union and Kiel lose to Freiburg

Automatic relegation

Holstein Kiel will be confirmed in the bottom two if:

  1. They lose to Freiburg and Heidenheim win at Union

Bochum will be confirmed in the bottom two if:

  • They lose to Mainz
  • They draw and either Heidenheim draw or Kiel win
  • Heidenheim win at Union
