Roma are back in action this weekend and face Cagliari on Saturday evening at the Stadio Olimpico.

The two clubs enter the fixture in wildly different form with Roma losers in their previous two league clashes. Meanwhile, Cagliari enter the affair on a two match winning streak, giving them hope in their search to avoid relegation.

Despite Roma’s top-four hopes being dealt a blow in recent weeks, there’s still plenty of intrigue surrounding this weekend’s affair.

José Mourinho is expected to hand newly acquired midfielder Sérgio Oliveira, who officially joined the club yesterday from Porto, his debut from the start due to the suspension of Bryan Cristante.

The Giallorossi will also be without first-choice central defenders Chris Smalling and Ibañez, who is also suspended for the match.

As for their opponents, the Sardinians received a huge lift earlier this week after midfielder Nahitan Nández finally tested negative for COVID-19 after initially being diagnosed with the virus two weeks ago.

However, manager Walter Mazzarri will still be forced to deal with the absences of starters Marko Rog, Kevin Strootman, and Sebastian Walukiewicz.

The two sides kick-off this evening at 18.30 CET in Rome.
