The floodgates opened in the second half with Goçalo Guedes’ precision header on 48 and two minutes later, Maximiliano Gómez got in on the act with another brilliant header follwing a fine Carlos Soler assist to give Valencia CF a two-goal cushion.
Alas, Granada CF halved the arrears on 56 minutes to get back into the game. However, Carlos Soler restored Valencia CF’s two-goal lead shortly afterwards from 12 yards out slipping the ball into the net.
Valencia CF managed to see out the remainder of the game to round off a mesmerising week picking up back to back home with the Mestalla crowd right behind them and the height of Fallas festivities around the corner.
