A game between Deportivo Morón and Almagro in Argentina’s National B was abandoned on Monday after tear gas meant the players could no longer see.
A group supporters reportedly tried to get into the stadium without tickets and were then confronted by police.
As the violence escalated, authorities used tear gas to disperse the crowd – but the smoke eventually drifted over the pitch and affected fans and players inside the ground.
Almagro were 2-0 up with just 35 minutes gone but the referee decided to abandon the game.
