Massimo Moratti’s wife has confirmed her opposition to Inter and Milan’s plans to build a new San Siro, as explained by Il Giorno this morning.
Milly Bossi works as counselor for the Municipality of Milan and yesterday presented a new project called ‘San Siro for two’, having first floated the idea several years ago.
The project would see Inter and Milan build their own entrances to San Siro, in an attempt to personalise the stadium both clubs already share.
The stadium’s third tier, meanwhile, would be renovated to include ‘commercial spaces’, with chef Davide Oldani declaring his interest at building a restaurant there.
Bossi’s plans were devised in part by architect Stefano Boeri and have received the approval of city mayor Giuseppe Sala, another man known to be against demolishing San Siro.
‘San Siro for two’ would aim to revitalise the entire San Siro district, which also boasts a horse racing venue, the PalaLido and a 110-hectare urban park called Boscoincittà.
