Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has picked his starting side and substitutes to entertain rivals Liverpool in the Premier League this afternoon.

Ten Hag saw his side produce a superb performance to knock Liverpool out of the FA Cup recently and will demand a repeat today amid continuing criticism of his tenure.

The Dutchman though is battling against a host of injuries to defensive players, reducing his options when it comes to stopping Liverpool’s attack.

Manchester United currently sit in sixth spot in the Premier League table, but are nine points behind fifth placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Andre Onana is between the sticks for Manchester United, who field a back four of Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Willy Kambwala and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

In midfield, the Red Devils go with Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo, while Alejandro Garnacho, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford support Rasmus Hojlund.

If Ten Hag needs to try to influence the game from the bench then he has options available and they include Antony and Mason Mount.
