There are not many better sights in football than a well-caught volley.
Bernardo Silva mastered it to perfection for Manchester City’s second goal in the win over Aston Villa on Wednesday night.
Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has followed suit today.
West Ham had just levelled proceedings at the London Stadium through Manuel Lanzini’s penalty before Mount provided the moment of the first half, catching Hakim Ziyech’s cross-field pass first-time on the volley to beat Łukasz Fabiański at the near post.
The 22-year-old’s incredible technique restored Chelsea’s lead going into the break.
Simply sublime.
