Mason Mount and Conor Gallagher to start for changed Chelsea | OneFootball

Chelsea’s team won’t come out for another hour, but news has already leaked (as it always tends to these days).

The headline is that Mason Mount is back in the side, a welcome but not totally surprising outcome.

The issue that kept him out of the game earlier this week was a “kick” in training, and it always sounded more likely to be a matter of days out rather than weeks.

Also in the side will be Conor Gallagher.

Dropping out are Denis Zakaria and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. The latter is no surprise – he didn’t start last game either, and was poor as a sub. Zakaria has been excellent however, and is clearly being rested for our next Premier League game.

Mount and Gallagher will bring a lot of energy to the team – it will be interesting to see which is used in Aubameyang’s more attacking role and who plays in a more solid midfield role.
