Manchester City have completed their fourth summer signing of the transfer window following the addition of teenage forward Mary Fowler from Montpellier.
The Australia international has put pen to paper on a four-year deal, keeping her at the Academy Stadium until 2026.
Fowler joins fellow summer arrivals Deyna Castellanos, Leila Ouahabi and Laia Aleixandri in Gareth Taylor's new look City squad ahead of the 2022/23 WSL season.
"I’m really excited and proud to be joining this club – it’s a team that I’ve always wanted to play for, so I’m honoured to have this opportunity," said Fowler. "I really admire the team’s style of play – when City play, you see football and how beautiful it is, and you can really fall in love with the game just by watching them, both the women and the men’s teams.
"As much as I love winning, I enjoy doing it while playing attractive football and that was a hugepart of my decision to join."
Fowler began her senior career with Illawara Stingrays in her native Australia, before spells with Bankstown City and W League outfit Adelaide United followed.
Her form with the latter earned her a move to Montpellier in January 2020, and she finished the 2021/22 season with five goals in 17 league appearances for the club.
The 19-year-old made her senior Australia debut aged 15 in 2018, and she has gone on to net seven goals in 24 appearances for her country - including one against Team GB in the quarter finals of last summer's Tokyo Olympics
"Mary is a without doubt one of the most exciting young talents in the game right now and we’re absolutely thrilled to have her join us here at City," added Taylor. "She has a maturity beyond her years, but for her, she’s excited to come to England to learn and grow as a player.
"Having her put pen to paper on a four-year deal also speaks volumes about our own commitment and also ours as a club to her development, and we can’t wait to start working with her."
