They were successful campaigns, including being part of the infamous Helicopter Sunday, when the Gers pipped Celtic to the title at the death in 2005.

Despite his regular appearances in Legends games, Andrews isn’t keen on that tag.

“I’d call myself more of a cult hero than a legend,” he said in an interview with the Evening Times.

“Some of the players who played here are incredible, as are the things they achieved for Rangers.

“I don’t see myself in that category. Maybe I’m a cult hero because of Helicopter Sunday.

“When it comes to being a legend, it takes great achievements to be considered a legend at a club like Rangers.

“I was only here for two years but I know Helicopter Sunday will go down as one of the great days so I’m happy to be part of that.”

Rangers appeared set to lose out on the title that day, only for Motherwell’s Scott McDonald to stun future club Celtic with two late goals.
